Sales Consultant – Luxury Watches and Jewellery

Newcastle-under-Lyne, Staffordshire

Full-time, In-store, Permanent

£27,000 - £35,000 per annum + Additional Company Benefits;

A jewellery and watch store with an unquestionable reputation built over the years is looking to hire a new permanent Sales Consultant, preferably with experience selling luxury watches or jewellery. The role is based in Newcastle-under-Lyne.

The store's reputation has been built on the team, quality of products and service it has delivered to customers year on year and the business prides itself on the standard of staff hired, plus the care shown to each member of staff working for the business.

The role will report directly into the Store Manager and the hired person will be a key member of sales staff in aiding in delivering new sales, mainly focused towards luxury watches. Day to day duties will be:

* Delivering a luxury sales experience to every client / customer
* Developing your own portfolio of clients / customers
* Maintaining a luxury retail store environment
* Assisting with sales events such as bridal shows, product launches etc
* Aiding customers in purchasing decisions
* Working towards sales targets
* Demonstrating thorough product knowledge
* Aiding the store manager and team

DB Charles has spoken at length with the client on the various skill sets and backgrounds they seek in order to hire, including a number of the below:

* Must have a background working within fine jewellery, luxury watches, luxury retail
* Ideally had experience in selling luxury watch brands, preferably Rolex.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Fantastic customer service skills
* A “can do” attitude
* Flexible and adaptable to change.
* Proven record of achieving sales targets.
* Well presented.
* IT literate.
* Empathetic with great listening skills
* Team player
* Able to commit to an in-store role based near in Newcastle-under-Lyne with Saturday working.

The role will be working roughly 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Saturday 8:30am to 5:10pm, working 3 out of the 4 Saturdays per month, plus there may be occasional outside standard hour work for events such as bridal shows, trade shows etc.

Dependent on experience the client has an open budget from £27,000 to £35,000 per annum, important to note, for a salary to be offered over the £30,000 mark, the candidate would need to have experience in selling luxury watches. Also, the role will include additional bonus.
