Nursery Practitioner - Responsibilities As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and stimulating learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 years. Your duties will include: * Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework. * Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where children feel secure and inspired. * Supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. * Completing observations, assessments, and contributing to individual learning journeys to track and support each child’s progress. * Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high-quality care and effective communication within the team. * Building strong, professional relationships with parents and carers, offering feedback and reassurance. * Ensuring all safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety procedures are strictly followed. * Maintaining accurate records in accordance with nursery policies and statutory requirements. * Contributing ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to help continually improve practice and provision. Nursery Practitioner - About You We are looking for a confident, caring, and passionate individual who is committed to providing the highest standards of early years care. The ideal candidate will have: * A Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (essential). * A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). * Experience working in a nursery or early years setting (desirable, not essential). * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with children, families, and colleagues. * A warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children’s development. * Good knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety practices. * Strong organisational and teamwork skills. * An Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting.
