This is a pivotal role with the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our brand, drive sustainable occupancy growth, and position Sandstone Care as a market leader in the UK care sector. The Role Reporting directly to the Board, the Sales & Marketing Director will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a high-impact, data-driven marketing and sales strategy. You will play a critical role in shaping the organisation’s public profile, driving commercial performance, and ensuring that our homes are the first choice for families seeking outstanding care. This role requires a commercially astute, hands-on leader with a deep understanding of the care sector, a passion for excellence, and the ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a robust sales and marketing strategy to drive enquiries and increase occupancy. Brand Development: Strengthen Sandstone Care’s brand positioning and visibility within the over-65 care market. Lead Generation & Conversion: Oversee digital and offline campaigns to generate high-quality leads and improve conversion rates. Agency & Partner Management: Manage relationships with external agencies (PR, SEO, design, media) to ensure alignment and performance. Performance Monitoring: Analyse marketing data, track ROI, and present insights and recommendations at monthly board meetings. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small, high-performing marketing team, fostering innovation and collaboration. Budget Oversight: Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and measurable impact. What We’re Looking For Proven track record in a senior sales and marketing leadership role, ideally within the care home, healthcare, or hospitality sectors. Deep understanding of the over-65 care market, including regulatory, demographic, and competitive dynamics. Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget management, performance analytics, and strategic planning. Demonstrated success in brand development, digital marketing, and lead generation.
