We have an opportunity for you to join us at Childbase Partnership, an employee-owned company, in the role of Apprentice at our Nursery on the Green Day Nursery in Redbourn.
About the Role
We are seeking a very special person to join us in this role. Someone who:

Apprenticeship Details
This early years apprenticeship will commence in October 2024 and will teach you how to provide outstanding care and education to young children. Your main responsibilities will be to:
* work as part of a team to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments across the nursery, plan and implement opportunities to enhance children’s development, and complete observations linked to the early years curriculum
* interact positively with all nursery users and work in partnership with colleagues and parents to ensure all children’s individual needs are met at all times whilst they are in your care
* adhere to nursery routines and policies and to seek guidance from your leadership team as required
* manage your time effectively to submit coursework by deadlines set by your trainer/assessor.
Qualifications and Outcomes
By the end of the apprenticeship, you will gain:
* either a NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner qualification, or an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Practitioner) qualification; an online assessment during shortlisting will determine the appropriate level for you
* Level 2 functional skills qualifications in maths and English, if you do not already have equivalent qualifications
* a permanent contract upon successful qualification, leading to an appointment as a qualified Nursery Nurse within our partnership.
What We Offer
Our early years apprenticeship includes:
* a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) working with children under 5 to gain practical childcare experience
* a varied shift pattern, typically between 07:15 and 18:30, Monday to Friday
* ‘off the job’ learning time to support your studies
* a dedicated childcare trainer/assessor from our in-house Training Academy of Excellence, visiting regularly
* 11 group training sessions at our head office in Newport Pagnell with other apprentices

Application Requirements
To be considered, you must:
* Have documentation proving right to work in the UK
* Ideally possess photographic ID (passport or driving licence)
* Provide evidence of your national insurance number
* Have access to a computer for assessments and coursework
* Be a resident in the UK for at least 3 years
* Be willing to travel to training sessions in Newport Pagnell; transport costs will be covered
