Overview
My client, a highly-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Drainage and Infrastructure to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the lively, culturally-diverse, historically-significant city of Liverpool.
Essential Criteria
* A Degree (or equivalent qualifications) in Civil Engineering
* Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design-based role, specifically in a consultancy setting
* Experience of having produced drainage strategies and worked on drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S278, S104, S106, etc.)
* Competent in the use of InfoWorks Civils 3D, Revit, InfoDrainage, and similar software packages
* The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
* A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
* Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindset
* Some knowledge of flood risk and mitigation
Responsibilities
* Contributing to a number of projects, developing drainage strategies and working with other elements of infrastructure
* Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard and within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions
* Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
* Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
* Liaising with a range of stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
* Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
* Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
* Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
