Role Overview
The Lecturer in Electrical Installation will join the Engineering, Construction and the Built Environment department. The role is responsible for the effective delivery of Electrical Installation study programmes across various levels, providing academic leadership and ensuring learners receive engaging, relevant, and coherent teaching aligned with current industry practice. The post holder will coordinate learner progression, achievement, retention, and progression outcomes, while maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge in line with local and national priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver Electrical Installation study programmes across multiple levels

Provide academic leadership and support to learners across Electrical Installation programmes
*
Design and deliver engaging, relevant, and coherent curricula aligned with current electrical practice
*
Support and motivate learners to meet individual aspirations and goals
*
Coordinate learner progression and track achievement across programmes
*
Lead study programmes to achieve outstanding learner achievement, retention, and progression
*
Support learners with Maths and English attendance where required
*
Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and integrate industry relevance into teaching delivery
*
Engage industry professionals where possible to enhance curriculum relevance and learner employability
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to contribute positively and creatively to the team
Requirements
*
Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or NVQ Level 3 (Essential)
*
Maths and English to GCSE Level 4 or equivalent (Essential)
*
Ability to communicate and explain complex issues and projects clearly and effectively (Essential)
*
Experience of motivating, developing, and managing learner performance (Essential)
*
Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, manage workload in a challenging environment, and build positive internal and external relationships (Essential)

NICEIC registered (Desirable)

Assessor qualification (Desirable)

Teaching qualification Level 3 (Desirable)

Highly organised, with the ability to manage specialist and complex projects with strong attention to detail (Desirable)
