Embedded within the Specialist Inclusion Teams, the HI team provides peripatetic support to children, young people and their families from the point of diagnosis. We work with other professionals and families to identify and develop a co-ordinated pathway and inclusive approach to SEND, providing specific advice and direct support, at home and in settings across the borough.

Working as part of the wider Sensory Team, the QTHI will work closely with colleagues to ensure that children's HI needs are accurately assessed and appropriately supported across all phases of education.

They will provide specialist training and advice enables equitable access to education, learning, life skills and preparation for adulthood.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively to deliver this personalised approach to education in line with the SEND Code of Practice, NATSIP and statutory duties for those with Hearing impairments.

We are looking to recruit an experienced teacher who already holds the Mandatory Qualification for Teaching children and young people with a Hearing Impairment (QTHI). This post requires recent and relevant teaching experience along with a secure knowledge of inclusive practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

A UK driving licence is essential.
