Role Overview Tesco IMS are undergoing a major divestment programme following Tesco Bank's transfer into Barclays. As part of this change, Tesco IMS must separate entirely from the legacy Tesco Bank technology estate and build a new standalone infrastructure. This is a high-profile, large-scale transformation and a rare opportunity to help design and deliver a new infrastructure environment across cloud, telephony, networks, and financial systems. As an Infrastructure Architect, you'll provide technical leadership and assurance across a wide range of transition and migration activities. You'll be hands-on with design reviews, vendor collaboration, and architectural governance - ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, and aligned to Tesco IMS standards. This is a broad generalist architecture role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving enterprise change programmes with multiple workstreams. You'll be involved in: Contact Centre migration : supporting the transition of networking, EUC, and telephony services into a new standalone environment. Financial systems migration : ensuring secure large-scale data and platform migrations, including AWS-to-AWS re-hosting. DevOps enablement : designing services and tooling for engineering teams, including API gateways with identity integration and DevOps pipelines. Providing architecture assurance across infrastructure, cloud, and security domains. Collaborating with third-party vendors and internal teams to land future-state designs. Contributing to technical workshops and programme governance. Key skills We're looking for candidates with: Strong background in infrastructure and systems architecture across cloud and on-prem. Experience in technology transition or migration programmes, ideally within financial services. Hands-on knowledge of AWS platforms, with proven delivery of secure migrations and re-hosting projects. Exposure to contact centre technology and associated networking/telephony transitions. Ability to operate as a generalist architect across multiple domains rather than a narrow SME. Proven stakeholder engagement and vendor collaboration skills. Desirable: Cisco Meraki exposure. Previous FS or regulated industry experience.
