WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm with a global reach. This role is for a Fire Engineer based in the UK, with opportunities to work on diverse projects from Scotland to London and internationally. The role focuses on enabling innovative architectural design while maintaining fire safety.
Your new role, what’s involved
As a fire engineer, you’ll typically work on a variety of projects at once. You’ll run through design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines (such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures), present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and help inform the design team about changes to increase building safety. You will be guided through software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates. The role supports professional registration via IFE and other professional bodies, and WSP offers a bespoke development programme to help you work toward chartered status or equivalent.
We provide development opportunities including training in technical and professional skills through a structured programme, with support from our senior leadership team.

Qualifications and experience
* BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Experience within the fire engineering consulting industry
Location and type
Role can be based from any of our UK major offices. Seniority level: Entry level. Employment type: Part-time.
