SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role (Swinton, November Start) Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swinton to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in November and involves providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both one-to-one and in small groups. The school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is committed to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that supports every learner. You’ll be joining a collaborative and caring team focused on helping each child thrive in a nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small group settings Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities Support the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Help maintain an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to promote pupil progress Adapt support strategies based on individual needs and feedback Candidate Requirements GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience working with children with SEN A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young learners Strong communication and teamwork skills A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare Level 2 Safeguarding certification (training available if required) Why Join Teaching Personnel?
