Department of Paediatrics, Oxford Vaccine Group, Churchill Hospital, Oxford About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join the team that have been working on the rapid clinical development of vaccines against COVID-19 and other important outbreak pathogens including Marburg and Ebola. The team are running pioneering studies on experimental controlled human challenge studies for bacterial and viral infections and phase I-III studies of experimental vaccines to transform human health. You will play an important role working on vaccine and vaccine-related studies, human models of typhoid and paratyphoid infection, pneumococcal challenge studies and work on development of other models of infection in human challenge studies. This is a post for an experienced research practitioner looking to further develop their leadership skills and play a vital role in the delivery of a wide portfolio of research within the Oxford Vaccine Group. We are hiring two fixed term posts for 12 months in the first instance, with the potential to be extended based on the availability of further funding, as well as one maternity leave cover post for 12 months/until March 2027, or until the actual return of the substantive postholder.
