About the role We're looking for hands-on problem-solvers to join our dynamic team of skilled mechanical and electrical engineers, keeping our fleet moving safely and efficiently every day. What you'll be doing: As a Mechanic, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, servicing, and replacing parts as needed Identifying issues accurately and recommending the correct method of repair and parts required Performing routine inspections and servicing using handheld data capture devices (where applicable) Attending roadside breakdowns and supporting vehicle recoveries Road-testing vehicles to confirm issues or check work after repairs What you'll get in return: Ongoing technical training and development Genuine opportunities for career progression The chance to be part of a close-knit, supportive team that plays a vital role in keeping people moving Working shift: 5 days in, 2 days off; rotations, 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00 Hourly rate: £20 p/hr Location: Doncaster Reporting to: Engineering Manager About you Do you have at minimum a Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent qualification as a mechanic and experience working on HGV, bus or coach? Do you have a flexible approach to working hours? A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this) Do you have a valid UK driver's licence? Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV) Do you have vehicle/auto electrical experience/knowledge?
