Welsh-Speaking SEN Teaching Assistants Needed
Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN/SEN)?
We are currently recruiting for compassionate and dedicated Welsh-Speaking SEN Teaching Assistants to work within Welsh Medium Primary Schools across the CF14 area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs while working closely alongside teaching staff in nurturing, inclusive school environments.
You will play a vital role in helping children reach their full potential—providing both academic and emotional support while promoting the Welsh language throughout the school day.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils with SEN/ALN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assisting children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, behavioural challenges, and other additional learning needs
* Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
* Helping pupils engage positively with learning and build confidence
* Promoting Welsh language use across the classroom and school setting
* Creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
* Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
* Experience working with children with SEN/ALN, either in schools, care, or support settings (preferred)
* A patient, calm, and understanding nature
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
