An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrative and clerical assistant to join us on a fixed term basis of 12 months to cover maternity leave. As the successful candidate you will participate in the management and organisation of the maternity Electronic Patient Records (EPR) referral process for the booking of appointments for new pregnancies and transfer of care. The successful applicant is required to work with minimal supervision and coordinate activities to ensure that an efficient service is provided to service users. You will have a welcoming and professional approach to all members of the public and staff attending the department, and the ability to deal with sensitive, confidential information and queries regarding service users in a sympathetic and reassuring manner.
We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises. FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant‑led services.
