Key duties and responsibilities:
People Management, Development and Growth:
* Support and grow teams through clear leadership, providing colleague development through cross training and sharing of best practice operational and people processes.
* Deliver shift team briefs.
* Team motivation.
* Providing training and direction to your team.
* Encourage and support all your staff to develop their skills and foster new ways of working.
* Document their success on the training matrix.
HR Management:
* Conduct all HR issues swiftly, professionally and document thoroughly.
* Reference to your manager and HR Department when required.
* Perform all instances confidentially and impartially.
Planning / Analysis:
* Collect & evaluate data for warehouse productivity maintenance of records as required to produce agreed KPI.
* Be focused on the achievement of shift targets, and to achieve this, be fully conversant with the levers by which their team can influence the KPI.
* Plan and schedule the shift's work, assigning activities to team.
* Ensure administration is completed and date captured in a timely and accurate fashion.
* Review teams' performance to meet standards daily to ensure individual KPI's are met.
Distribution Centre Operations:
* Checking orders, items delivered, inventory, and deliveries awaiting despatch for accuracy.
* Ordering warehouse supplies & maintain suitable inventory levels.
Standards:
* Work closely with colleagues, maintain all standards including Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Company and Legislative Policies.
* Always communicate shift handovers on time and in full.
* Act impartially to ensure colleagues are treated equally and fairly.
