Role Description
You will be working around the UK installing industrial and commercial LED lighting upgrades and Solar PV systems, battery storage and EV charging for leading brands.
* You will take overall on-site responsibility for the jobs yourself and your Install Mate are allocated to work on
* Communicating with the Electrical Supervisor on a regular basis to provide updates on job progress.
* Complete relevant documentation for each job.
* Make sure all lights and Solar PV Systems fitted are running as efficiently as they can while making sure the fitting is always legally compliant and of a high standard.
* Carrying out various aspects of testing, inspection, and commissioning of installs, ensuring a high quality is maintained at all times.
* Providing customer support and interaction during electrical installs.
* Carrying out on site risk assessments and maintaining safe working practices.
* Ensuring personnel, and possibly sub-contractors, under your control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements.
* Motivate, coach and develop the individuals working with you.
* Taking full ownership for personal health and safety responsibilities and that of the team, ensuring PPE is worn at all times, and the reporting of any non-compliance to the Electrical Supervisor or Health & Safety Coordinator.
* To be responsible for personal health and safety and be aware of obligations to other employees and customers in accordance with legislation.
* Undertaking any other reasonable tasks as requested by the business.

Key Skills & Qualifications
* Experience as a qualified electrician
* Experience working on the installation of Solar PV systems, battery storage and EV Charging
* Level 3 NVQ Diploma in the Installation of electrotechnical systems or equivalent
* 18th Edition
* 2391 test and inspect
* ECS, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, PASMA.
* Ability to problem solve using your own initiative
* Be Self-motivated but also have the ability to manage and motivate others and work as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
* JIB Gold Card (or equivalent) and up-to-date CSCS card (or the qualification required to obtain)
* Proven experience in commercial installations (ideally solar PV, LED lighting, or renewables).
* Solar PV specific qualifications
* Basic First Aid
* IPAF and PASMA qualifications
