About the Role
As our Junior Sous Chef, you'll be instrumental in the smooth running of our kitchen and maintaining our high culinary standards. You'll work closely with the management team to innovate our food offering, ensuring we consistently use fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal produce.
Key Responsibilities:
* Culinary Excellence: Consistently prepare and present dishes to Rosette standards, ensuring every plate meets our exact specifications for taste, temperature, seasoning, and presentation.
* Operational Smoothness: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring readiness for service, timely food delivery, and optimal stock levels.
* Team Leadership & Development: Actively support, train, and motivate the kitchen team, setting and maintaining high standards for performance and addressing any shortfalls.
* Quality Control & Compliance: Uphold stringent company kitchen standards and ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations, including maintaining accurate records and a meticulously clean environment.
* Financial Acumen: Contribute to achieving food gross profit targets and support the hotel's financial performance.
