Senior Staff Nurse Salary: From £34,685 plus shift enhancements (Depending on Experience)

As we continue to evolve, we are looking for compassionate, resilient, calm, and proactive Senior Qualified Nurses to join our team.
St Andrew’s Birmingham is a 125 bedded adult mental healthcare facility comprises of eight units that cover medium and low security for both Men and Women. Located in Stirchley, a vibrant area in South Birmingham, easily accessible by road networks and public transport
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN’s / RNLD) to join our multidisciplinary team here at St Andrew’s Healthcare in Birmingham. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient – centred care to individuals with complex mental health needs in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver and evaluate person-centred care plans tailored to individual patient needs
2. Maintain a safe, secure and therapeutic ward environment
3. Administer medication in line with professional guidelines
4. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists and other healthcare professionals
5. Manage risk effectively, including de-escalation and safeguarding procedures
6. Build therapeutic relationships with patients to support recovery and rehabilitation
7. Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
8. Receive and provide clinical supervision
9. Support the service to deliver specific outcome measures
10. Complete required ward audits in line with the Clinical Governance strategy
Requirements
11. Registered Nurse qualification (RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC registration
12. Experience in mental health or secure/forensic settings
13. Completion of preceptorship - up to 2 years post qualification
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
15. Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging behaviours
16. Commitment to continuous professional development
