We use our industryexpertiseand experienceto serve our clients who work across a range ofindustries;includingRetail and Consumer,Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical,Hospitality, Technology, Information & Communications and
Entertainment.
The Senior Associate role involves taking charge of a broad variety ofaspects ofaudits from planning to completion.The Senior Associateis responsible fororganisingand managing client assignments;including the completion of assignedtasks and project components as well as coaching, advising, and directing team members.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Lead an audit team and set the audit approach to the engagement, which makes effective use of team members’ skills and is within budget.
2. Liaise onsite with clients to obtain relevant information in order to resolve any queries and to identify causes/risks on issues requiring further consideration.
3. Identifythe key business and audit risks of a client and investigate all audit issues to arrive at a solution or proposal
4. Research and resolve technical queries from clients
5. Work closely with the tax department to ensure that the taxation figures for the audit arefinalisedwithin the required time.
6. Ensure Manager/Senior Managers (or relevant Partner) are informed on a regular basis on the progress of the audit and relevant issues in respect of budget constraints.
7. Reporting onaudit findings to the Managers/Senior Managers and Partners and in particular raise any issues arising during the audit which mayimpact onrisk.
8. Prepare reports detailing issues found and recommending corrective and preventative actions to resolve them.
9. Review the work of junior team members to ensure quality,thoroughnessand completion of assignedtasks within agreedtime frames.
10. Work as an effective team member during an audit by communicating relevant issues, requestingfeedbackand coaching junior team members.
Education/Professional Qualifications:
11. Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent from arecognisedinternational accounting institution
12. At least 3 years practice accounting experience in a Big 4 firm or other international accounting firm.
13. Detailed understanding ofUKGAAPand IFRS.
14. Business Acumen - use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market andutilisethis information toassistyour clients in making innovative business decisions.
15. Relationship management - ability to read situations andmodifybehaviourto build quality, diverse relationships.
16. Creative -demonstrateanability to contribute tonew ideasand propose innovative solutions to problems.
17. Excellent communication skillsbothwritten and verbal.
18. Enthusiastic team player with a passion to coach and encourage others to achievetheir potential.
19. Ambitious –demonstratestrong commitment to personal learning anddevelopment.
