Salary: Circa £72,000, based on your skills and experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Define and Direct: Shape the pricing strategy for Combat Systems.
* Governance Leadership: Ensure BAE Systems Governance is applied across the business, leading audits and making recommendations to senior leadership.
* Provide Guidance: Offer leadership and advice on all aspects of pricing and costs within the Combat Systems business.
* Upskill Teams: Lead the upskilling of estimating, commercial, and project controls in End to End Pricing and competitive pricing techniques.
* Toolset Management: Ensure all estimating tools are fit for purpose and that team members are trained effectively.
* Strategic Bids: Lead pricing for bids valued at £20M and above, ensuring project controls are engaged for all pricing below that threshold.
* Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with other functions to maintain the integrity and competitiveness of the estimating process.
* Supplier Pricing Leadership: Guide supplier pricing from defining requirements to determining value for money and supporting negotiations.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Communication: Ability to interpret and present complex commercial and pricing models clearly.
* Commercial Acumen: Excellent estimating skills and negotiation leadership.
* Business Knowledge: Understanding of design and delivery aspects, preferably in software development.
* Innovative Thinking: Ability to define innovative pricing models and estimating techniques to support business growth.
