About the Role
Early Years Phase Leader – Nursery & Reception (EYFS) at Withymoor Primary School.
As phase leader, you will lead and enhance the quality of teaching and learning in early years. You will model high‑quality teaching practices, provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and training to staff, and develop and implement strategies to raise teaching standards and pupil outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Department of Early Years, ensuring high quality teaching and learning.
* Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and training to nursery and reception staff.
* Develop and implement strategies to raise teaching standards and pupil outcomes.
* Plan and support professional development for early years staff.
* Oversee safeguarding, including acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead where required.
* Support pastoral, counselling and care practices, and help pupils with diverse needs.

* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and ability to act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
* Relevant teaching qualification and experience in early years.
