Transport Operations Planner
My client is a well established company seeking a Transport Operations Planner to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll be at the centre of everything, helping ensure deliveries are on time and customers are satisfied. What you’ll be doing in your new Transport Planner/Coordinator role:
* Plan based on customer volumes to ensure adequate resource is provided to fully meet business requirements.
* Be proactive in identifying changes in activity with our customers and effectively adapt planning as required.
* Ensure fleet compliance is always maintained.
* Ensure all administrative tasks associated with the operation are completed to the required standard as well as dealing with daily operational problems.
* Make all relevant bookings for collections and deliveries for customers.
* Manage train fill to ensure all relevant loads meet their end destination in time for delivery.
What my client is looking for in a Transport Operations Planner:
* 3 years’ experience in a similar role
* An excellent knowledge of transport operations with previous planning experience
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of WTD, Tachograph rules and regulations.
* Proficient IT skills with experience using Excel and transport management systems.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to plan and work on your own initiative.
Your schedule will be:
* Monday to Friday.
* Flexibility with start and finish time - between 5am and 8.30pm.
* 45 hours.
