Offer description

At OFG, we work smarter so you can spend more time doing what makes you happy!

How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four?

Our colleagues' wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we're always looking for new ways to improve everyone's work/life balance. We're taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

4DWW will be rolled out within our school when we have a full complement of staff, within the next year – so there's never been a more exciting time to join us.

Become a Teaching Assistant at Park School, part of Acorn Education, and start working towards yours.

* Role: Teaching Assistant
* Location: Park School, Chipping Norton, OX7 5QH
* Salary: GBP22,300 per annum (not pro rata)
* Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

Park School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged 7 to 18, catering for pupils with a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. We provide dedicated teamwork to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team at our new site, Park School, Shipton-under-Wychwood, which may also involve some time at the main school site in Chipping Norton.

The opportunity

Enjoy a rewarding education career and have a real impact on pupils' lives. Join an amazing team making our schools and classrooms supportive, enriching places where vulnerable pupils and young people achieve far more than they ever expected.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will connect directly with our pupils and young people, helping to ensure they get the very best from their education. You will assist in preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and supporting their emotional and physical needs to help them develop and engage with the world.

Supporting pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs is important and rewarding work. You will benefit from the support of our experienced teams and see the positive impact of your work on their lives.

Who we are looking for

You will be adaptable and ready to work in various classroom roles, indoors and outdoors, according to individual needs. A responsive and caring approach is essential, whether running activities, leading outdoor experiences, or supervising pupils outside the classroom.

Our schools are built on teamwork and mutual support. If you enjoy working as part of a dedicated team, sharing knowledge and experience, please fill in our safeguarding-compliant application form, and a team member will contact you.

Acorn Education is the UK's leading independent provider of specialist education and part of Outcomes First Group, leading sector innovation for measurable outcomes.

We are proud to be certified as a 'Great Place to Work' for the fifth consecutive year in 2024.

Why Join Acorn Education?
