Your Mission:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of submarine construction. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Design & Analysis: Conduct analysis and design of complex structures in line with Eurocodes, British Standards, and BAE standards.
* Regulatory Expertise: Apply your knowledge of regulations beyond BAE Systems, including LOLER, Codes of Compliance, and more.
* Technical Proficiency: Utilize advanced analytical methods, including finite element analysis and CAD modeling (Abaqus, S-Frame).
* Support Manufacturing: Assist in the manufacturing, assembly, lifting, handling, and installation of submarine structures.
* Fast-Paced Collaboration: Contribute your insights on facility and site constraints for shipping, handling, and installation.
* Concept Development: Help create concept drawings and technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* BEng/MEng in Engineering or equivalent, or HND with extensive experience in Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering.
* Experience in Hand Analysis and Design Techniques, including report writing.
* Strong understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards.
* Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering, structural steelwork, and lifting handling (LOLER).
Desirable:
* Experience in a production environment, particularly in marine production.
* Familiarity with ABAQUS, S-Frame, MathCAD, and Excel.

About Our Team:
As part of the Production Engineering Department, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of designers and engineers. You’ll be instrumental in conducting engineering assessments that support our build process, ensuring the delivery of safety-critical systems. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates across all submarine roles.
