Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in Birmingham for a
Director of Food and Beverage
. The Director of Food and Beverage will join our
Executive Team
, reporting directly to the
General Manager
, and will oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations, including culinary services, food service, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing budgets, ensuring quality control in all food and beverage areas, and maintaining high standards of service. The Director will also collaborate with other departments, support event planning, and execute effective strategies to enhance guest experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and executing a long-term F&B strategy aligned with the hotel's brand and guest expectations.
* Driving revenue growth and operational excellence across a F&B operation.
* Leading, mentoring and supporting a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and guest-first service.
* Collaborating with the Executive Head Chef and outlet managers to create innovative menus, beverage programs, and promotional events.
* Managing departmental budgets, cost control, forecasting and P&L performance.
* Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, safety and service across all outlets.
* Supporting event planning and delivering exceptional guest experiences in line with the hotel's reputation.
Qualifications
* Progressive experience in food and beverage leadership roles, ideally in resort-style or high-volume operations.
* Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
* Deep understanding of culinary trends, wine & beverage programs, and service standards.
* Proven financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and P&L management.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
