This setting is an award-winning Nursery chain located in 98 acres of beautiful Essex Woodlands, just 1 mile from Brentwood town centre. They are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their fun nursery in CM13! The position requires a Level 2 or 3 qualification to work in the baby room. They offer a 4-day working week, from 8 am to 6 pm, totaling 38 hours per week.
Your role will include being a key worker for a small group of children, providing high-quality education and ensuring the welfare and safety of children within the setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible as a Key Worker for a number of children.
2. Gain a clear understanding of policies and procedures.
3. Plan with other room staff and deliver a range of activities for the children.
4. Attend advertising events on a rota basis.
5. Uphold and ensure a high standard of care throughout the nursery.
6. Implement and maintain the company's Equality policy, ensuring all children, parents, and staff are valued and practices are positive and non-discriminatory.
7. Ensure your key children settle in and complete progress checks.
8. Complete all sharing information forms for your key children.
9. Monitor safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.
10. Notify the Room Leader of any complaints or situations that may be detrimental, agree on actions, and implement accordingly.
11. Build strong relationships with parents, including attending parents' evenings.
12. Complete any responsibilities assigned for SENCO, ENCO, and H&S Officer roles.
Requirements:
1. Level 2/3 childcare qualification or higher.
2. At least 6 months of experience in childcare, as training is provided.
3. Commitment and passion to deliver outstanding childcare.
4. Ability to work within a team and independently using your initiative.
5. Broad knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding.
