About the Company
A specialist façade contractor delivering remediation, refurbishment and new-build façade packages across the UK. The company works across residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors, providing design, procurement, manufacture and installation of external façade systems including curtain walling, glazing and cladding.
Why Join Them
This Contracts Manager position offers the opportunity to join a growing façade contractor with a strong pipeline of remediation and cladding safety work. Around 90% of projects are fire remediation schemes, providing long-term stability in a specialist sector with sustained demand.
The Contracts Manager will operate in a genuinely flexible environment. Most work can be carried out remotely, with site visits typically once every week or two depending on project requirements. If the work can be done from home, the expectation is to work from home rather than travel unnecessarily.
The business is currently delivering projects up to £5m in value, with one scheme already reaching £12m, and turnover is forecast to grow to approximately £6m to £7m over the next year. For a Contracts Manager experienced in façade remediation, this offers a chance to take real ownership of projects while working closely with a small, experienced leadership team.
About the Role
The Contracts Manager will take responsibility for the delivery of façade remediation and façade installation projects across the UK. The Contracts Manager will manage projects from commercial handover through to completion, ensuring programmes, procurement and installation are delivered safely and efficiently.
Working closely with site managers, subcontract installers and the commercial team, the Contracts Manager will oversee multiple projects and ensure works are delivered in line with programme, budget and technical requirements.
Responsibilities include:
*
Managing façade remediation and cladding projects across multiple UK sites
*
Overseeing projects typically up to £5m in value
*
Managing site managers and specialist installation subcontractors
*
Producing and managing project programmes covering design, procurement and installation
*
Coordinating procurement of façade systems and materials
*
Attending pre-contract and progress meetings with project stakeholders
*
Monitoring programme, quality and cost performance across projects
*
Working with Quantity Surveyors on variations and commercial reporting
*
Managing Building Safety Regulator related processes and approvals
*
Liaising with structural, fire and façade engineering consultants
*
Ensuring all works comply with environmental, health and safety regulations
*
Delivering site briefings and maintaining high safety standards
*
Reporting project performance and cost forecasts
*
Supporting the development and performance management of project teams
The role would suit a Contracts Manager with strong experience in façade systems such as curtain walling, glazing and cladding, particularly within fire remediation or façade rectification projects.
Summary
This Contracts Manager role offers a flexible, largely remote working environment within a specialist façade contractor delivering remediation projects across the UK. The position provides responsibility for technically detailed façade works, a stable pipeline of projects and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
