Position Overview
We are looking to recruit two Psychology Lecturers/Senior Lecturers for the Business and Science School based at our London, Bloomsbury campus.
As a psychology lecturer, you will deliver high-quality education across ULaw’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, including curriculum development, quality management, enhancement activities, and associated operational administration. Senior lecturers take a lead role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and enhancement of programmes following the University's strategy, policy, and procedures.
The role operates on a 35-hour working week with a 5-over-7-day working pattern, offering flexibility in how hours are worked. It may include evenings and/or weekends during teaching weeks. Working patterns will be discussed and agreed collaboratively each term, subject to operational requirements. Designated weekday time off is provided when evening or weekend work is required to promote wellbeing and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach and assess across the University of Law course portfolio in assigned subjects.
* Act as an academic coach, providing support and discussion of students' problems and academic progress.
* Assist in marketing, widening participation, and extra‑curricular events.
* Supervise student dissertations and research projects.
Requirements for Lecturer Positions
* Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.
* If you do not currently hold the required qualification, enrolment in the university‑supported programme is mandatory, typically within 12 months of passing probation.
Requirements for Senior Lecturer Positions
* Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA).
* Relevant teaching qualification.
* Significant expertise in application and practical delivery of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments, marking, and team leadership.

* Salaries: Lecturer £40,500 – £42,500; Senior Lecturer £49,000 – £54,000 plus £4,300 location weighting.
