We’re looking for a Director, Global HR Systems to take full ownership of our HR technology landscape and lead the evolution of our Oracle HCM platform.
This is a senior, hands-on role with end-to-end accountability for HR systems strategy, delivery, optimisation and governance. You will partner closely with HR, the business, and external vendors to drive efficiency, compliance and impact across global HR operations.
Location: Oxford (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)
What you’ll be doing
1. Owning the full HCM lifecycle: roadmap, implementation, upgrades and enhancements
2. Acting as the strategic partner to HRIS vendors and support partners
3. Leading HR systems change initiatives to ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption
4. Continuously improving system functionality, user experience and process efficiency
5. Ensuring audit, compliance, data integrity and security standards are met
6. Maintaining, developing and optimising the Oracle HRIS as the single source of truth
7. Designing and delivering short, medium and long-term HRIS integration and upgrade plans
8. Integrating HRIS with internal and external systems (e.g. website, intranet, LinkedIn, HireRight)
9. Developing business analytics, KPIs, reports and dashboards for the Board and stakeholders
10. Preparing and presenting analysis at key strategic business meetings
11. Owning HRIS governance and periodically reviewing system provider suitability
12. Driving efficient HR processes in partnership with HR, Payroll, GIT, Finance and Marketing
13. Leading process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives
14. Creating training materials, SOPs and guides for HR, managers and employees
15. Troubleshooting system and process issues and escalating where required
16. Managing and developing the HRIS Analyst
What we’re looking for
17. Proven experience managing enterprise HR systems (Oracle HCM essential)
18. Experience scaling Oracle HCM within a business
19. HR qualified
20. Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement capability
21. Expertise in change management and process optimisation
22. Deep understanding of HR compliance and audit requirements
23. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
24. Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices, with confidence to challenge
25. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
26. Ability to prioritise, work at pace, remain flexible and deliver results
27. Excellent project management skills
28. Strong Microsoft Office capability (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and HR systems
