A Clinical Educator is required to join the award-winning Education and Learning team at St Margaret’s Hospice Care.

* Salary: £39,340 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
* Location: Taunton (Opportunity for Hybrid working, depending on delivery needs)
* Contract: Permanent
* Working Pattern: Part-time (22.5 hours per week) or full-time (37 hours per week)

Responsibilities:
Lead on all areas of clinical learning, including clinical skills education and developing the online learning community. Deliver training in the community, working with a variety of people to connect with and make a difference to healthcare professionals and organizations across Somerset.
* Create a supportive learning environment, enabling learners to become skilled practitioners and advocate for the best end-of-life care in Somerset.
* Build a skilled workforce, supporting clinical staff of all grades and disciplines to achieve their professional objectives.
* Develop the clinical workforce of the future, taking the lead on upskilling staff and ensuring excellent care is maintained.
Daily Tasks:
* Work with the Inpatient and Community teams to deliver a program of clinical skills training.
* Plan and deliver training courses for staff and external healthcare professionals.
* Support the development of outreach education sessions across the county.
* Support students on placements across the hospice.
* Evaluate learners’ progress and performance.
* Contribute content to the new learning management system and support its development and maintenance.
* Contribute to innovation in learning, including the development of virtual reality.
Requirements:
* Be a Registered Nurse.
* Have significant experience of teaching and education in a healthcare setting.
* Facilitate and deliver high-quality training courses.
* Understand the broad education context in healthcare currently.
* Be responsive to the training and education needs of the organization.
* Be aware of quality and compliance requirements.
* Understand the need for innovation in education and be happy to lead in that space.
