PMO Analyst
Our Wimborne, UK business unit is growing! We are looking for a PMO Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team to provide expertise, support, and reporting for the Project Management function. The role aims to standardise processes and introduce efficiencies across all project phases, serving as the source of templates, guidance, and metrics for good project management practices.
The PMO Analyst is responsible for delivering timely reports, supporting PMO responsibilities, and assisting Portfolio and Programme Managers with tools and documentation to ensure compliance with the Business Management System.
Location: Wimborne, UK
Your Responsibilities:
1. Provision of reporting and metrics aligned with the needs of stakeholders across projects, programmes, and portfolios (P3O).
2. Project Planning:
o Develop and provide templates in Primavera and Microsoft Project.
o Offer guidance on project reporting, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
o Assess project schedule health against industry standards.
3. Cost Estimation:
o Perform 3-point estimating and Monte Carlo simulations.
o Use analogous estimation techniques.
o Support bid processes.
4. Management Support:
o Investigate cost anomalies and schedule slippage.
o Conduct risk reviews.
5. Standardise project management templates and documents, and promote their use through formal release processes.
6. Create and maintain onboarding training materials for new project professionals.
7. Develop and support the PMO toolset.
8. Assist business functions such as Finance and Head of Programmes as needed.
9. Support month-end revenue recognition and forecasting activities.
10. Produce KPIs as required by leadership and QA.
11. Provide administrative support for project and programme reviews.
Candidate Requirements:
* Ability to obtain UKSV security clearance; must be a British National due to security contractual compliance.
* Strong domain knowledge in project management; experience preferred.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple departments.
* Strong estimating abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and make decisions.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Project Management qualification (e.g., PMI, APM) is desirable.
* Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
* High ethical standards and ability to build trust.
* Analytical mindset with sound decision-making skills.
* Confident in challenging and influencing within domain expertise.
