The Role:
You’ll be responsible for supervising classes of students and ensuring they complete the work that has been set for them by the absent teacher. This is a crucial, non-teaching role that involves managing classroom dynamics, maintaining a positive learning environment, and helping students to stay on task.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise secondary school classes during the short-term absence of a teacher.
* Manage student behaviour effectively and in line with school policy.
* Ensure students complete the work that has been set for them.
* Provide general support to students and answer their questions as needed.
* Report back to the class teacher or Head of Department on the lesson's progress.
* Uphold the school's high standards and values.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
* The ability to work on your own initiative and remain calm under pressure.
* A positive, can-do attitude.
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
