Job Details
Location: Frimley Park Hospital, Portsmouth Road, Frimley, GU16 7UJ, Surrey.
Contract: Fixed term, 12 months.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £64,337 - £74,415 per annum, including 5% Fringe HCAS, pro rata.
Grade: NHS AfC Band 8b.
Role Overview
Leading and developing psychological services for the Psychiatric Liaison Service at Frimley Park Hospital, working with diverse clinical backgrounds, providing assessments, brief interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to embed psychological skills across hospital wards and A&E. The role includes professional leadership, supervision, service development, and research.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert psychological assessments, interventions, and consultation for patients with complex needs.
* Lead and develop the psychology service, ensuring high standards of care and clinical governance.
* Supervise and support junior staff and trainees.
* Contribute to service innovation, research, and policy development.
* Ensure inclusive practice respecting protected characteristics.
Person Specification
Qualifications: Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, completion of supervision course.
Experience: Extensive post-qualification clinical experience, leadership in practice, supervision, and service development.
