Shift Maintenance Engineer – Leeds
Location: Client site, Leeds
WPS is looking for a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join the on‑site team. The role involves delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a multi‑building site, ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Perform first‑line response for all planned and reactive maintenance on M&E plant including pumps, motors, drives, AHUs, LV switchgear, PLCs, and HVAC systems.
* Monitor and improve building systems for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
* Ensure helpdesk tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
* Support the operation and control of building systems and external plant areas.
* Maintain compliance with statutory regulations and internal procedures.
Qualifications
* Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (domestic certification beneficial).
* NVQ Level 2 in plumbing, heating & unvented hot water (preferred).
* IOSH Working Safely certification.
* Strong communication and people‑management skills.
* Sound judgement and a commitment to high standards.
* Working knowledge of statutory regulations and industry codes of practice.
* Ability to pass clean security checks (DBS required at offer stage).
