Title: Principal Offshore Structural Engineer
KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role is within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit, which provides services including engineering, procurement, construction, and program management in hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.
As a Principal Technical Professional - Offshore Structural, your responsibilities include:
1. Performing engineering analyses for operational, non-operational, and accidental phases, including design of primary steel.
2. Designing secondary and tertiary steel structures.
3. Providing input for Structural 3D modelling and drawing production.
4. Compiling design basis, project specifications, and reports.
5. Reviewing vendor data from a structural perspective.
6. Reviewing analyses and calculations by others, offering technical guidance, and resolving discrepancies.
This role involves liaising with clients and contractors, coordinating with global project teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
Requirements:
* Degree in Structural Engineering Design.
* Experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of offshore platforms and FPSO.
* Strong technical and practical engineering skills, with a focus on quality and schedule.
* Proficiency in SESAM GENIE and SESAM software.
* Desirable: Experience with ABAQUS and USFOS for non-linear FEA.
* Knowledge of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, DNV, and NORSOK.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Office-based work capability.
