Position: Web Design Manager Location: London, UK (We would require a meeting to start and then infrequent trips to the office in Camberwell, however most of this internship can be done remotely) Salary: This is an unpaid internship but we do cover travel cost for commutes to the office. You can work on your own schedule, as long as deadlines are met and goals are completed on time. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced (or highly qualified but looking to gain real world experience) Web Design Manager to join our dynamic team in London. In the Web Design Manager intern position, you will be responsible for helping to re-design and update an existing company's website that we recently acquired as well as a brand new website for a high-end company that we want to launch in the next couple months. You will need to be able to assist in ensuring the functionality, usability, and visual appeal of both. All of the main material is there and we have a lot of concepts already to work with, so we would like someone that will excel at helping us bring it all together to create the finished product. You will have two brand new websites to add to your portfolio in the field of interiors, so any and all design ideas and experience welcome. Key Responsibilities: - Providing guidance, support to ensure high-quality work and timely delivery of projects - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and IT, to understand business objectives and translate them into effective website designs - Develop and maintain website design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and brand identity across all web properties - Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to enhance user experience and drive conversions - Monitor and analyze website metrics to track performance and identify opportunities for optimization - Ensure website compliance with accessibility and data protection regulations Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field - No previous professional experience required, which is why this is a work-experience internship to help you build your CV - Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of web design projects to prove ability in absence of work experience - Proficient in web design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InVision - Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Experience with content management systems, preferably WordPress - Excellent project management skills - Attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics - Knowledge of SEO and web analytics tools is a plus If you are a creative and results-driven individual with a passion for web design, we would love to hear from you.
