Maintenance Technician - Mechanical

Introduction:
Indaver leads the field in sustainable waste management in Europe, delivering high-quality, cost-effective services across municipal, industrial, and hazardous waste markets. We operate in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Portugal, the UK, and Ireland. Currently, in Essex, Indaver is constructing a large-scale waste processing plant that will manage approximately [amount] of residual waste annually, generating electricity for around 60,000 homes. We are hiring 65 specialists to maintain and operate this facility.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Execute all mechanical maintenance activities across the process, building, and site systems in accordance with operational requirements, ensuring compliance and high operational availability.
* Support the development of less experienced technicians and apprentices within the maintenance team.
* Ensure all work is performed safely, following Indaver's Safe System of Work.
* Maintain the facility using best practices, complying with environmental, legal, and internal norms.
* Carry out preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities.
* Support planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
* Collaborate with external maintenance service providers.
* Identify operational improvement projects and ensure their high-standard execution, documenting modifications accordingly.
Experience & Qualifications:
* SVQ/HNC/HND with significant experience in maintenance, construction, or engineering services.
* At least 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in complex operational environments such as power generation, oil & gas, or industrial processes.
* Knowledge of SAP is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience with complex plant and equipment, especially furnace/boiler or rotating equipment, is a plus.
