The Opportunity
A superb opportunity to join a successful, expanding boutique IFA practice and take full responsibility for a key client support function within the business, ensuring the success of a client’s outcome, whether that be the link between the advice provided to a client and its end implementation, or how clients are communicated with on an ongoing basis. This is a genuine opportunity to develop the role within the business an if desired take a full path to an advisory role in due course.
The Role
As an experienced junior Paraplanner, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Planning Meetings - Pre-Meeting – Arrange meetings, collect and prepare documentation for meetings (Client information, Agendas, Investment Reports and Risk Reviews). Post Meeting – Utilising streamlined reporting tool to confirm details to clients.
Technology – The practice financial planning service is centred around the effective use of technology to streamline our processes.
Compliance – In all aspects working within the compliance structures to better client outcomes.
Communication – Liaising with clients as part of the implementation of their financial plans. Answering phone calls and managing client correspondence.
Colllating, updating and managing client data, including managing CRM data and registers.
Utilising and Improving processes – Playing a key role in both utilising and improving our processes and workflows.
Shadowing the Directors of the business in planning meetings.
This role could grow into either a full paraplanning or financial planner role.
About you
As a junior Paraplanner/Associate you will possess the following:
An IFA/financial services background, with core administration functions and client contact exposure. This may be gained in a traditional IFA practice or a Platform provider
Essentially experience of client contact, arranging meetings and dealing with queries, template suitability letters, creating valuations and meeting preparation, liaising with product providers, using technology specifically Dynamic Planner Elements (advantageous).
Have passed a couple of R0 papers (Level 4 Diploma)
Outstanding attention to detail.
Ability to utilise and improve processes.
Able to make effective individual decisions within a team environment.
Knowledge of technology preferred – Dynamic Planner, Intelligent office, Voyant
