Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Team Leader to guide our engineering department in the day-to-day planning, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and technical solutions. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role is pivotal in ensuring on-time delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing and process engineers.
Oversee the development and optimization of CNC programs, tooling, and fixtures for new and existing aerospace components.
Drive the successful introduction of new products into production by supporting the NPI lead for on time delivery of new product development.
Ensure technical documentation, routings, and BOMs are complete and accurate.
Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Project Management teams to ensure engineering deliverables meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Manage engineering change control (ECC) processes, ensuring all design, process, and documentation changes are implemented accurately, efficiently, and with appropriate traceability.
Promote lean manufacturing practices and support CI initiatives across the engineering and production teams.
Provide technical support and root cause analysis for process issues and NCRs.
Manage engineering KPIs and ensure project timelines are met.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in a leadership or senior engineering role within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of machining processes, GD&T, aerospace materials, and CNC programming.
Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and aerospace customer requirements preferred.
Experience with CAD/CAM systems (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong project management and team leadership capabilities.
