Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger

Location: Bromsgrove

Full time FTC position hrs per week Mon-Fri am-pm

Salary: £,. per annum

Benefits: days’ Annual Leave (rising to with length of service) + Bank Holidays, Company Pension, Life Assurance, Employee Discount Scheme & Free Parking

We’re a family of independent agencies with a common determination to give our children a better future. We are a private equity owned, dynamic business, with our talented Finance team playing a central role within our operations.

We are looking for an experienced, full time Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining accuracy of supplier details
2. Ensure incoming invoices are correctly coded and authorised for payment
3. Payment processing and authorisation
4. Resolve queries from suppliers and other departments
5. Reconcile suppliers’ monthly statements
6. Reconcile Direct Debit payments against invoices
7. Complete monthly reconciliation of outstanding transactions for assigned agencies
8. Assist with month end procedures

Preferred:

9. Previous experience in purchase ledger
10. Knowledge of accounting software

Requirements:

11. A proactive attitude to work
12. The ability to work to strict deadlines
13. Attention to detail
14. A team player
15. A commitment to Equal Opportunities in all work practices
16. Willingness to undertake a DBS Disclosure check at an enhanced level paid for by Polaris
