Location: Yorkshire Region (Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, York, Hull). Remote working with regular travel to Yorkshire Water sites and offices, typically 2-3 days a week.
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, + Overtime.

ICA Engineering sits within the Engineering Team in our Asset Delivery department and is responsible for all Instrumentation, Control Systems, and Automation across Yorkshire Water's projects. We manage assets worth approximately £70m across AMP8 to ensure compliance and resilience, providing safe drinking water and environmental protection.
The Project Technician ICA will work alongside Engineers, Project Managers, and Technicians to develop standards and deliver projects accordingly.
This role could suit an experienced C&I Technician seeking to continue in a dynamic environment or to develop within our Engineering Team. Continuous training is available to support your growth and keep you updated with the latest technologies and standards.
Where You Fit In
* Experience with integrated process control systems and automation, including instrumentation, PLC & HMI/LOI systems, SCADA applications, site data networks, and a safety-conscious approach including cyber security.
* Ability to interpret technical documents such as loop diagrams and electrical drawings.
* Experience in FAT, SAT, and commissioning of control and automation systems in a process environment.
* Supervisory experience with supply chain contractors on operational sites.
* Provide technical support to Engineers and Project Managers.
What Skills & Qualifications You Will Need
* A formal electrical/instrumentation qualification: HNC/ONC or similar.
* Experience with PLC control systems (Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Schneider).
* Experience with instrumentation and control loops in a process environment.
* Qualifications and experience to facilitate Yorkshire Water Electrical Authorization (LV).
* Ability to troubleshoot and modify PLC, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation systems, understanding change control processes.
* Team-oriented with good collaboration skills.
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel across Yorkshire.
