Chef - Care Homes (Agency)
Support care homes across Fife by preparing nutritious meals for residents while enjoying flexible, ad hoc chef work. You'll work only daytime shifts, adapting to different care home kitchens and catering for a range of dietary needs.
Role details:
£16-£20 per hour, ad hoc shifts to suit your availability, mostly daytime hours, based across Fife and surrounding areas. A Full PVG is required for this role.
The role:
As a Chef - Care Homes, you'll provide essential catering support to care homes across Fife as and when they need cover. You'll use your experience to deliver safe, well-balanced meals that meet residents' individual dietary needs. This role exists to ensure residents continue to receive appropriate meals when permanent kitchen staff are unavailable.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for care home residents
- Catering for levelled diets and special dietary requirements
- Working in line with IDDSI guidelines for residents with swallowing difficulties
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Adapting quickly to different care home kitchens and ways of working
What we're looking for:
- Previous chef experience, with care home experience preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of IDDSI and texture-modified diets
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in new environments
- A Full PVG, or willingness to obtain one with support
