KS3 Teacher – Nurture programme

Salary: £33,075 - £50,471 per year (M1 - UPS3 Fringe)
Plus £5,000 Welcome bonus for Qualified Teachers*
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only
Start time: 8.15am
Finish time: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 4.45pm, Thursday 5pm, Friday 4pm
Teaching Personnel offers an opportunity to work with an exceptional SEN School based in Surrey. The school is looking to recruit a KS3 Teacher to run the nurture programme within the team. The students, aged between 11 – 16, have ASD and other complex or anxiety-related needs, which may include challenging behaviours and multiple learning difficulties.
Key Duties
* Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students.
* Collaborate with other staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Monitor, assess, review, and report on student progress to parents, team members, senior staff, and funding bodies through reports and meetings as required.
* Develop lesson plans with analysis and self-reflection on outcomes.
* Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, maintaining good communication with staff.
* Contribute to reviews of EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
* Provide structured lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge.
Qualifications
* Stay informed about wider curriculum developments.
* Maintain awareness of current issues in autism to plan effective teaching and learning.
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification, with evidence of in-service training.
* Experience working in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
* Experience delivering differentiated curricula to pupils with diverse needs.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary role, with potential for permanence later.
