Overview
Skipton International has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and reporting of sustainability strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with Skipton International’s commitment to ESG.
Key Accountabilities
1. Manage the development of the Sustainability Strategy in line with industry frameworks and standards.
2. Work closely with the Commercial Team, Senior Management, Skipton Group, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure Skipton aligns with global sustainability standards while meeting local regulatory and community expectations.
3. Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data and performance metrics.
4. Work closely with the Skipton Group to ensure the Sustainability Strategy aligns with the overall Group strategy and framework, including net zero targets, ensuring consistency in reporting and targets.
5. Support the delivery of Skipton’s commitment to the United Nations Environment Programme and Principles for Responsible Banking.
6. Foster a culture of sustainability through employee training and awareness programs.
7. Act as an advocate and expert for sustainability internally and externally, representing the bank in industry forums and events.
8. Identify opportunities for integrating sustainability into business operations, products, and services. Lead on sustainability elements being built into new products and services.
9. Build sustainability management information, reporting, and support the Product Proposition and Sustainability Committee.
10. Adhere to CPD (Continued Professional Development) requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
11. Adhere to the Skipton International core values and expected behaviors.
12. Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Essential Requirements
* Degree-level education in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in a sustainability role.
* Understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and regulation.
* Proven experience in a sustainability role.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships within the company and the wider business environment to achieve sustainability objectives.
* Numeric and commercial acumen.
* Ability to engage across teams.
* Strong MS application skills, particularly Excel.
