About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our existing team in our Runcorn Distribution Centre.
Your key responsibilities will include maintaining high volume picking machinery via planned maintenance schedules, maintain up to date records of all maintenance work and support and manage the activities of any outside contractors whilst on site.
The successful candidate will understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines for Pharmaceutical Distributors and carry out the duties in such a way that they demonstrate compliance. You will have the ability to safely work at height. Although you will not have direct reports, you will mentor and coach junior members of the technical team.

Working hours: hours per week
Working Pattern: 3 shifts. Sunday to Friday (6 days) 06:00 to 14:15 Monday to Friday (5 days) 14:00 to 22:15 Monday to Friday (5 days) 22:00 to 06:15

Essential Skills/Experience
1. Recognised level 3 engineering electrical/mechanical qualification
2. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
3. Experience of fault finding within electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems.
Desirable:
4. IOSH/NEBOSH certificate
5. Demonstrated history of continuous improvement
6. Knowledge of AS-i/PROFIBUS/PROFINET
