The Finance service is seeking to recruit three Revenue and Benefits Officers to support the Revenues function. The Revenues function supports billing, collection, and recovery of Non-Domestic Rates and Council Tax, and delivers the Council’s Scottish Welfare Fund for Crisis Grants and Community Care Grants.
To be successful in this role, you will have moderate administration experience and a proven record of dealing with front-line enquiries in a busy customer service environment. The successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and possess good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
You will be expected to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision but also contribute as part of the team, displaying a positive attitude and flexibility in the range of work required to succeed.
An IRRV Benefits Technician or equivalent qualification, experience with Open Revenues and document imaging software, and experience processing claims/applications are desirable.
