Role.
To carry out skilled welding and fabrication tasks in support of wagon manufacture and repair, ensuring all work meets required safety, quality, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Perform MIG welding on rail wagons and associated components.
2. Fabricate and weld mild steel plate (3mm35mm thickness) depending on component requirements.
3. Read and interpret technical drawings to deliver precise fabrication and assembly.
4. Carry out basic assembly tasks as required.
5. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order to support production.
6. Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
