Lead DevOps Engineer - HM Land Registry - SEO
The IT Operations Practice sits within the Transformation & Technology directorate and is responsible for the performance and delivery of all technical infrastructure which underpins and supports the organisation. It consists of a number of specialist technical teams which provide support, monitor and operate technical solutions.
This role is to provide technical engineering capability for the DevOps team, taking a lead on platforms, managing roadmaps, working with development teams to deliver new services and champion DevOps methodologies, processes & tooling. The Lead DevOps Engineer will be embedded in the DevOps teams, providing technical leadership and coaching to DevOps Engineers.
The role holder will take forward technical consolidation and/or improvement activities, providing guidance and leadership to technicians within the IT Operations Practice and wider, whilst also working across T&T to support and deliver solutions in line with the Technology and Business Strategies.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role you will hold a qualification in Information Technology or a related area (Degree Level or equivalent) or have experience in an IT field.
You Will Also Need Experience Of The Following
* Experience of technical leadership on DevOps platforms and technologies.
* Proven in depth technical expertise in Kubernetes and AWS.
* Experience of planning and leading on the delivery of significant technical change to devops platforms.
* Infrastructure-as-code scripting using Terraform or similar tooling.
* Experience of managing technical risk and leading the implementation of appropriate mitigations.
* Proven ability to learn and understand new technology.
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to interact and build working relationships with stakeholders.
