Our Business Services team keeps things running smoothly for all of us here at Northumbria Police. They cover various services, including maintenance, health and safety, and supporting Front Line Policing. We have a great opportunity to join as a Cleaner, playing an integral role in keeping our stations clean, safe, and functional.
Unlike typical cleaning roles, you’ll work behind the scenes in our operational police station. You’ll take pride in your work and be part of a fantastic team committed to achieving great results. It’s a busy role with a great sense of achievement at the end of each shift.
What will I be doing?
* Using specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens
* Vacuuming and mopping floors
* Using floor machines such as floor scrubbers/dryers
* Emptying bins and performing general cleaning duties
* Maintaining knowledge of health and safety legislation and complying with safety standards
* This role is physical and involves working at height
This is an important role in our Police Force. We seek someone who takes pride in their work. No prior cleaning experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, the ability to work alone and as part of a team. A reasonable level of fitness, punctuality, and reliability are essential.
