We are seeking a self-motivated, organised, experienced, and high-performing Front-End Web Developer to join our team.
As a Front-End Web Developer, you will support the e-commerce and Marketing teams with customer-facing changes such as UX improvements, implementing new features, bug fixes, and optimisations. You will report to the Senior Front End Developer and be supported by our UX experts and dedicated design team.
Duties include:
1. Development and maintenance of our e-commerce application and corporate site.
2. Optimisation of our e-commerce application for speed, stability, and scalability.
3. Participation in the entire application lifecycle: coding, testing, and debugging.
4. Following a thorough testing process, ensuring all code deployments are tested locally and on staging sites across multiple devices and browsers before deployment.
5. Performing UI tests to optimise performance.
6. Collaborating with back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
7. Gathering and addressing technical and design requirements.
8. Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
9. Following emerging technologies.
10. Providing training and support to internal teams.
11. Working collaboratively with the wider team by sharing ideas, knowledge, and resources.
12. Undertaking relevant research, development, or training as required.
The successful candidate will have proven recent experience as a Front-End Web Developer with a strong portfolio of commercial work, and an in-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, testing, and deployment).

Essential Skills And Experience:
* Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Twig templating engine.
* Effective website optimisation techniques.
* Responsive and accessible web design skills.
* Understanding of code versioning tools like Git and Subversion.
* Knowledge of online security and data protection.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to support non-technical colleagues via video, chat, and email, and explain complex ideas simply.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and respond appropriately to urgent issues.
Desirable Skills And Experience:
* Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
* Familiarity with back-end technologies (Symfony, PHP, MySQL).
* Experience with CMS frameworks.
* Experience with jQuery.
* Knowledge of Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
* Experience with Symfony UX ecosystem and Stimulus.
* Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
